Singapore city skyline at nightAlso known as The Garden City and the Little Red Dot, Singapore is known for its cleanliness, its disciplined population, and affordable electronics. Despite its small size, there are many other good places to go in Singapore.

There are water parks, bike trails, gardens, nature trails and shopping areas that people from all walks of life would find interesting. But aside from these, you can also enjoy the cuisine and its unique culture.

Chilli Crab and Ice Kacang

These are just two of the many delectable dishes you can find in Singapore. Stir-fried mud crabs with thick, sweet, and savoury tomato chilli sauce, Chilli Crab was included in the World’s 50 most delicious foods by CNN Travel. Ice Kacang or bean ice is a refreshing dessert made of shaved ice and different kinds of beans drenched in evaporated milk. The cold dessert is perfect for Singapore’s tropical weather.

Chewing Gum, Littering, and Jaywalking

If you do any of the three, you’ll be breaking the law. Chewing gum has been banned in Singapore since 1992. Littering and jaywalking have hefty fines if caught by authorities, and despite these strict measures, people appreciate that these rules have made Singapore one of the cleanest countries in the world.

MRT, Buses, and Taxis

These are the three major modes of transport in Singapore. The MRT is known for its efficiency and speed especially during peak hours. Buses serve almost every part of the country and are the cheapest way to get around. For those who want to get around in comfort and privacy, taxis are preferable, and the best thing is that tipping is not required in taxis, restaurants, hotels, or anywhere else.
