The Thunderbird Foundation for the Arts presents an Open House, Friday, March 19, 2010 6-9pm. Free Food and Soft Drinks. For Zion National Park’s centennial, the archivists at the Gerald R. Sherratt Library, Southern Utah University restored 28 photos that show Zion National Park and the people who visited and worked in Zion Canyon beginning at the turn of the 19th century.
This amazing collection will be on display in the downstairs salon until the end of April 2010

May 1, 10 - ATV Poker Run - In and around Kanab -
Weather permitting! We will have a day long, family, friendly ATV Poker Run of about 30 miles with riders from Utah and neighboring states. Registration will be at 9:00am. 26 miles East of Kanab at the gravel pit on the South side of Hwy 89. The ride will take place on the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument and will include part of the Great Western Trail. Lunch will be included, and prizes offered. You don’t want to miss this ride!

Race will start at Moqui Cave at 7:00 am, finishing at Kanab City Park. In Mt. Carmel, Kanab, Johnson Canyon. 40 or more artists gather at Maynard Dixon Property to work, socialize, paint the scenery of Kane County, display and sell their art. Events are open to the public and include private art show, an open house, a lecture, a Gala Event; a sit down dinner for 250 with entertainment.
The Art Show will continue through Sept 30th.
